Coffee Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 cup milk
1/2 cup shortening
3 eggs
4 cup flour
Directions
Put shortening in lukewarm milk.
Add sugar and well beaten eggs; then add flour and salt.
Mix well until it is smooth and does not stick to wooden spoon.
Let it rise 2 to 3 hours in warm place.
Press down, then let it rise again for 1 hour.
Put in well greased pan.
Add Topping.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350° oven.
