Frozen potato patties - 1 package (12 ounces)
Freshened salted codfish - 1/4 pound
Onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
Light cream - 1 cup
Butter - 1 tablespoon

GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven at (350°F.).
2. To freshen salted codfish, place under cold running water about 5 minutes.
3. Then cover with cold water let it stand overnight, drain and flake.
MAKING
4. Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole and place the potato patties in a it.
5. Add the codfish and onion.
6. Pour on cream and dot with butter.
7. Cover and bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour until potatoes are tender, stirring with a fork to break up potato patties after 15 and 45 minutes of baking.
SERVING
8. Garnish with slices of canned cranberry sauce cut in shape of fish, if desired and serve.
