Cod Sailor Style Recipe
The cod sailor style is a simple herbed cod bake with green olives and tomatoes. Fresh and delicious, the cod sailor style is seasoned with salt and pepper along with a parsley, caper and oregano sauce. I love this recipe for its sheer ese of preparation and a great taste.
Ingredients
| 2 pounds cod steaks, about 1 inch thick | ||
| Canned tomatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs), sieved | |
| Green olives | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Capers | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Put cod steaks into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Combine tomatoes, olives, capers, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano in a saucepan.
Bring to boiling and pour over cod.
Bake at 350°F 25 to 30 minutes, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
