Directions

Thaw frozen fillets.
Skin fillets, if necessary; cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
In 3-quart saucepan combine 2 cups water, potatoes, celery, onion, pimiento, and salt.
Bring to boiling; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Add fish and simmer, covered, till fish and potatoes are done, about 5 minutes.
Add 7 3/4 cups milk.
Blend remaining milk with flour.
Stir into chowder.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Stir in bacon and butter or margarine.
