Coconut Squares Recipe
Coconut squares are one of my favorite desserts to prepare with fresh coconut. I like to make these lovely desserts with a cocoa icing spread on top. Baked and cooled, they are great with a warm gass of milk or just like that!
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs | ||
| Melted butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sweetened condensed milk | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Coconut | 1/2 Pound, desiccated | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cocoa | 2 Tablespoon (Pinch salt Icing:) | |
| Milk | 2 Tablespoon (Pinch salt Icing:) | |
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Pinch salt Icing:) | |
| Icing Sugar | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Pinch salt Icing:) | |
Directions
Mix together crumbs, butter and sugar and press into a 9x9 inch square baking pan.
Combine milk, coconut, vanilla and salt and spread on top of graham wafer mixture.
Bake 25 minutes at 350°F or until lightly browned on top.
Icing: Combine all ingredients well and spread icing on top of squares when cool.
