Coconut Orange Jumbos Recipe

1)In a bowl, beat together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
2)Add syrup and mix well.
3)Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4)Fold in coconut and orange rind.
5)In another bowl, sift together flour, salt and soda.
6)Mix it with creamed mixture alternately with orange juice, mixing well after each addition.
7)Take a lightly-greased baking sheet and drop spoonsful on it.
8)Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
9)Serve the coconut orange jumbos when desired.
