Measure flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
Add dates, cocoanut and orange rind and mix lightly.
Combine butter, sugar and orange juice.
Add egg and beat thoroughly.
Add gradually flour mixture, stirring until well blended.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 400Â° F. for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yield 4 to 5 dozen.
