Coconut Dream Squares Recipe
This Coconut Dream Squares recipe is easily right at the top of my favorite list. A good way to use up Fruits is to make some amazing Coconut Dream Squares. I just love Snack recipes and this dish is my only favorite amongst them. I am certain both of us will concur that this Coconut Dream Squares is simply scrumptious.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups sifted Swans Down Cake Flour
1 14 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 teaspoon Calumet Baking Powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 Ms cups (about) Baker's Angel
Flake Coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Combine 1 cup of the flour and 1/4 cup of the sugar.
Add butter; mix until thoroughly blended and smooth.
Press in ungreased 9x9x2-inch pan; bake in moderate oven (350°F.) 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat eggs until light.
Add remaining 1 cup sugar gradually, beating constantly until mixture is light and fluffy.
Sift remaining 1/4 cup flour and the baking powder together and fold into egg mixture.
Add vanilla, coconut, and nuts and mix thoroughly.
Spread on top of baked mixture in pan and return to oven.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer, or until lightly browned.
Cut in squares while warm.
Add butter; mix until thoroughly blended and smooth.
