Coconut Rice Recipe
Coconut Rice is simple to make rice recipe. Coconut Rice gets its taste from rice mixed with coconut milk and peppercorn. Coconut Rice is inspired by many food joints around the world.
Ingredients
| Basmati rice | 350 Gram | |
| 450ml thin coconut milk | ||
| Turmeric | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 8 shallots, coarsely chopped | ||
| Peppercorns | 20 To taste | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Wash the rice thoroughly under cold running water, then soak for 30 minutes; drain.
Put the coconut milk in a pan, stir in turmeric, then add the rice.
Bring to the boil, then cover and simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
Add the shallots, peppercorns and salt and continue cooking gently for another 10 minutes or until the rice is tender.
Be careful not to let the rice burn.
Transfer to a warmed serving dish and serve at once.
