Ingredients

 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated lemon rind
 Lemon juice1 Teaspoon
 1/4. teaspoon salt
 Sweetened condensed milk1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 cups shredded moist coconut

Directions

Mix lemon rind, juice and salt and mash slightly with a fork.
Let stand a few minutes.
Mix sweetened condensed milk and shredded coconut together.
Add lemon juice mixture, and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
Bake in moderate oven (350° F.) for 10 minutes or until a delicate brown.
Remove from pan at once.
Cool on cake rack.
Makes about 2 dozen macaroons.
