Cocoa Puff Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light corn syrup | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Unsweetened chocolate square | 1 1/2 | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 8 cups Cocoa Puffs cereal | ||
Directions
Mix sugar, water, corn syrup, salt, butter, and chocolate in saucepan.
Heat until chocolate is melted.
Bring to boil; cook to 250° on candy thermometer or until a few drops form a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour hot syrup over Cocoa Puffs in large buttered bowl.
Stir constantly to distribute syrup.
Form in balls with buttered hands.
If balls pull apart, reshape occasionally until they harden.
