Directions

Heat oven to 350°
Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well blended.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend dry ingredients; mix in.
Stir in nuts.
Spread in well-greased pan, 8x8x2".

Cool; cut in 2" squares.
