Cocktail Pie Recipe
Cocoktail pie is a fruity and delightful baked pie in a vanilla wafer crust that is served chilled. Made with a filling of fruit cocktail and sour cream, the cocktail pie is flavored with a dash of vanilla and one of my favorite summer dessert pies.
Ingredients
Vanilla wafers
2 cups dairy sour cream
1/2. cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 No. 2 1/2 can (3 1/2 cups) fruit cocktail, well drained
Directions
Line bottom and sides of 9 inch pie plate with whole vanilla wafers.
Combine sour cream, sugar, and vanilla; fold in drained fruit.
Pour into cooky lined pie plate.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 25 minutes or till set.
Cool, then chill thoroughly.
