Cocktail Meatballs Or Frankfurters Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
Dash hot pepper sauce
Directions
Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, and salt; shape into 50 small meatballs {1/2 inch).
Place in shallow baking pan (13x9x2 inches).
Broil until browned; turn once.
Spoon off fat.
Meanwhile, in saucepan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour over meatballs.
Cover; bake at 350°F. for 20 minutes.
Cocktail Frankfurters: Substitute 1 1/2 pounds frankfurters, cut in 1-inch pieces for meatball mixture.
