Clover Honey Recipe
Ingredients
| 60 white clover blooms | ||
| 40 red clover blooms | ||
| Sugar | 5 Pound | |
| 1tsp. powdered alum | ||
| 3 double pink roses | ||
Directions
Remove all green parts from blooms; set blooms aside.
Combine sugar, 3 cups water and alum; stir well.
Bring sugar mixture to a boil; cook for 20 min- utes or until of the consistency of thick syrup.
Re- move from heat.
Remove petals from roses.
Add blooms and rose petals to syrup; cover.
Let stand for 25 minutes.
Strain through cheesecloth; place in hot sterilized jars.
Seal.
