Clear Simmered Fish Recipe
I made this Clear Simmered Fish for my grandma and she is still raving about how nice it was. I couldn't wait to serve this Clear Simmered Fish dish once it was made. "Finger-licking good!"
Ingredients

| Water | 2 Quart | |
| 2 or 3 slices fresh ginger root | ||
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sherry | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
1. Have fish cleaned and scaled, but left whole. Rinse in cold water and score on both sides.
2. Bring water to a vigorous boil in a large pan. Crush ginger root and add to water along with salt, sherry and oil.
3. Gently lower fish into pan. Cover tightly at once and turn off heat. Let stand 30 minutes without removing lid.
