Classic Ravioli Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) veal-stuffed ravioli
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
1 French (dry) shallot, chopped
1 garlic clove, finely Sliced
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) tomato sauce
Salt and pepper
1/2 tSp (2 ml) chopped basil
1/4 tSP (1 ml) chopped chives
Pinch of dried thyme
3 tbsp (45 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
– Cook ravioli in boiling salted water. Rinse under cold running water, then drain and set aside.
– In a skillet, melt butter and cook shallot and garlic. Add tomato sauce. Season with salt, pepper, basil, chives and thyme, and simmer for 5 minutes.
– Add ravioli and stir. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.
