Ingredients

 
Clams - 5 cans, drained (reserving 1/2 cup liquid) & minced
 
Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
 
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
 
Flour - 2 cups
 
Eggs – 2, beaten
 
Milk - 1 cup

Directions

MAKING
1) Take a bowl and sift dry all the dry ingredients in it.
2) Add the dry ingredients to clam alternating with milk and eggs.
3) Stir in reserved liquid and mix well.
4) Take a tablespoon and drop clam mixture by it in deep hot fat.
5) Fry until golden brown.

SERVING
6) Serve with shredded onion, if desired.

TIP: You can add cracker crumbs to the clam mixture before frying, if desired.
