Ingredients

 Onion1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Butter/Margarine3 Tablespoon, melted
 All purpose flour2 Tablespoon
 Minced3 Can (10oz), undrained
 Clam Juice1 Bottle (1l)
 Evaporated milk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Tomato juice2 Tablespoon
 Lemon juice2 Tablespoon

Directions

Saute onion in butter in a heavy saucepan.
Add flour, stirring until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add clams and clam juice, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is bubbly.
Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in milk and tomato juice, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is heated.
Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice.
Garnish servings with parsley, if desired
