 Butter/Margarine2 Tablespoon
 Onion1 Small, chopped
 2 cans chopped clams

 Cream style corn1 Can (10oz)
 Milk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper seasoning
 Condiments: About 1/2 cup each chopped hard cooked egg, crumbled crisp bacon, hulled sunflower seeds, and seasoned croutons

Directions

Place butter and onion in a 3 quart casserole.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 4 minutes.
Stir in clams and their liquid, clam juice, corn, milk, and hot pepper seasoning.
Cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 7 to 9 minutes (stirring after 4 minutes) or until chowder is steaming.
Ladle soup into bowls or mugs.
Serve condiments in separate bowls at the table.
