Clam Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
12 square salted soda crackers
1 cup milk
1 can (7 or 8 oz.) minced clams, including liquid
1/4 cup (1/8 lb.) butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon each minced onion and minced green pepper (optional)
1/8 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
2 eggs, well beaten
Directions
Crumble the crackers into a bowl; add milk, clams, and their liquid.
Soak crackers until very soft, 10 or 15 minutes.
Add the melted butter, onion, green pepper, salt, pepper to taste, and beaten eggs.
Mix thoroughly.
Pour into a buttered 1-quart baking dish or 9-inch-square baking pan.
Bake in a 325° oven 30 to 40 minutes until center is firm and the top delicately browned.
