Clam Fritters Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg yolks | 2 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 7 1/2-ounce cans minced clams, drained | ||
| 1 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Snipped parsley | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 stiffly beaten egg whites | ||
| Cooking oil | ||
Directions
Combine beaten egg yolks, milk, clams, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Drop batter from a tablespoon into skillet containing 1/4 inch hot oil.
Fry, turning once.
Garnish with orange slices, if desired.
