Clam & Corn Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| Condiments: Crumbled crisp bacon, hulled sunflower seeds, seasoned croutons, sliced green onions (including tops) | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Small, chopped | |
| 2 cans (6 1/2 oz. each) chopped clams | ||
| Clam Juice | 1 Bottle (1l) | |
| Cream | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper seasoning | ||
Directions
Prepare 2 or more condiments of your choice, placing each in an individual bowl; set aside.
In a 4-quart pan over medium heat, melt butter.
Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft (about 5 minutes).
Stir in clams and their liquid, clam juice, corn, milk, and hot pepper seasoning; cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through (about 10 minutes).
At the table, pass condiments to sprinkle over individual servings.
