Citrus Garlic Chicken With Pasta Recipe Video

This is my own receipe that is lite and healthy which combines garlic and citrus for a unique flavor. The flavors are not overpowering but complement everything in the dish nicely.

Ingredients

 
4 pieces of Thinly Sliced Chicken Breast
 
2 Orange Bell Peppers
 
1 Head of Garlic
 
1 Medium Onions
 
4 Oranges
 
1 lb Penne Pasta
 
2 tsp Dried Oregano
 
2 tsp Dried Rosemary
 
1 Sprig Fresh Rosemary
 
10-12 Fresh Sage Leaves
 
4 pieces Whole Wheat Cibatta Bread

Directions

Dice the Onion and garlic
Cube the Orange Pepper in 3/4 inch cubes
Saute the veggies together for 1 Minute
Take out veggies and use remaining oil to coat the bread and place in over to toast at 350F for 10 Minutes
Put Chicken in pan to start cooking
Once Chicken is cooked on one side Flip over and squeeze in the juice of 2 oranges and also zest 2 Oranges
Let pan heat up for 1 Minute after adding in the juice and place in the veggies and the spices
Once Chicken is full cooked with the veggies remove everything from the pan
Add the pasta to heat up in the remaining oil
After the pasta is heated back up add the veggies back to the pan and Juillen the Chicken and put back in pan
Let flavors blend together for 1-2 Minutes and Plate and Enjoy

Great recipe, but could the cibatta bread be replaced with french bread ?

It def could be, I just used the Cibatta because that is what I had around my kitchen. I really try to use up what I have around the house as ingredients when I cook and limit special trips to the store. But French Bread sounds really good with it!!
