Citrus Simmered Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| Chuck | 2 1/2 Pound, trimmed | |
| Orange juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce or catsup | ||
| Onion flakes | 2 Tablespoon, dried | |
| Orange peel | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Sliced mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Orange | 1 , sliced | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Set Power Select at HIGH.
In 3-quart casserole dish, combine steak, juice, barbecue sauce, onion and orange peel.
Heat, covered, 5 minutes.
Set Power Select at LOW.
Heat, covered, 60 minutes or until steak is tender, turning steak over once.
Remove steak to serving platter; let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, into casserole, stir in mushrooms, orange and cornstarch blended with water.
Set Power Select at HIGH.
Heat 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened; serve over steak.
