 Cold water5 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/4 cup loose black or orange pekoe tea in tea ball, or 10 tea bags
 Whole Cloves6
 Orange or lemon strip2
 Sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Orange juice1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/4 cup packed fresh mint leaves
 Ice cubes
 Lemon1 Large, thinly sliced
 Orange1 Large, thinly sliced
 1 long curly strip of orange zest, about 8 inches long
 Sprigs of fresh mint

Directions

1. Bring 4 cups of the water to a boil. Combine the tea, cloves, and the 3-inch strips of lemon and orange zest in a heatproof bowl. Cover with the boiling water and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea ball, then stir in the sugar, orange and lemon juices, and mint leaves. Cover, let stand for 30 minutes, strain into a 2-quart pitcher, and stir in the remaining 1 cup of water. Chill.
2. To serve, fill the pitcher with ice cubes and stir in the lemon and orange slices. Garnish with the curly strip of orange zest and sprigs of mint. Pour in tall glasses filled with ice.
