Directions

Cream butter; gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating well.
Add eggs and lemon rind, beating well.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; stir into creamed mixture.
Chill 2 hours.
Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon, mixing well.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool on wire racks.
