Cinnamon Hermits Recipe
Cinnamon Hermits are old fashioned cookies that are soft and mostly made in flavors like orange and ginger. The cinnamon hermits soft and chewy but also crunchy. These cookies are always enjoyed and liked by everyone.
Ingredients
All-purpose flour -3 1/2 cups
Double-acting baking powder -4 1/2 teaspoons
Salt-1 1/2 teaspoons
Light brown sugar -2 cups
Shortening-1/2 cup
Ground cinnamon -1 1/2 teaspoons
Ground cloves-1/2 teaspoon
Eggs -3 large
Milk-2 tablespoons
Raisins-2 cups
Directions
GETTING READY
1)Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
MAKING
2)In a bowl, sift the first three ingredients together and keep aside for later use.
3)In another bowl, slowly beat together sugar to shortening and spices.
4)Beat in eggs, then blend milk and raisins.
5)Add sifted flour mixture into the mixture.
6)Take a lightly greased cookie sheet and drop spoonsful of batter on it.
7)Bake the hermits at 375 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.

8)Serve the cookies when desired.
