Cinnamon Candy Apples Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup small red cinnamon candies
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 small apples
6 wooden sticks
Directions
In large glass mixing bowl, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and candies.
Cook on roast (7) for 10 minutes.
Stir to dissolve sugar; add food coloring and cinnamon, mixing thoroughly.
Continue to cook on roast (7) for 10 minutes or until mixture reaches crack stage*.
While candy is cooking, insert wooden sticks into apples and generously butter cookie sheet.
Dip apples quickly into syrup, tipping to coat.
Place on buttered cookie sheet to cool.
