Cinnamon Applesauce Revel Recipe
Cinnamon apple sauce revel is a chilled and frozen dessert made with gelatin base. Flavored with apple sauce spruced up with cinnamon candies, the cinnamon applesauce revel has whipped cream and walnuts in it too. It can be served with additional whipped cream if desired.
Ingredients
2 packages lemon-flavored gelatin
1/2 cup red cinnamon candies
2 1/2 cups boiling water
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dash salt
1/2 cup broken California walnuts
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
Directions
Dissolve gelatin and candies in boiling water.
Stir in next 3 ingredients; chill till partially set.
Stir in walnuts.
Pour into 10x6x1 1/2 inch dish.
Spoon whipped cream atop; swirl through gelatin.
Chill till firm.
Cut in 8 squares.
Pass whipped cream.
Stir in next 3 ingredients; chill till partially set.
