Ingredients
4 cups sliced peeled apples
1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup cold water 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar 1/3 cup butter or margarine
Directions
Place apples in buttered baking dish, preferably the shallow, oblong type.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, salt and water.
Combine flour and sugar, and rub in butter or margarine to make crumbly mixture.
Scatter lightly over apples, and bake at 350°F. 40 minutes. Serve warm with cream.
