Cinnamon Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 pint (1 cup) commercial sour cream
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup finely chopped walnut meats combined with 1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
Directions
In the large bowl of your electric mixer, combine the butter, sugar, and eggs.
Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Blend in the sour cream.
Sift flour, measure, and sift with soda and baking powder into the creamed mixture; add vanilla.
Blend well.
Spoon half of the batter into a 9-inch tube pan which has been buttered and floured (batter will be quite thick).
Sprinkle half of cinnamon-nut mixture over batter.
Spoon in remaining batter and top with rest of nut mixture.
Place in a cold oven, set oven to moderate (350°), and bake about 55 minutes.
Cut pieces in pan to serve warm or cool.
