Ingredients

 Water1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1 Tablespoon
 Raisins1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 tbsp soy grits
 Rolled oats1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Milk honey1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Bring the water to a boil; add the salt, cinnamon, and raisins while it heats. When boiling, add the soy grits and rolled oats.
Lower the heat and cook the cereal, uncovered, until the water is absorbed and the oats are just tender. The mixture will become thick quite soon, but very little water is the trick to avoid slimy oatmeal. (If you prefer a gooey oatmeal, start with 1/4 to 1/2 cup more water.)
Serve the cereal with 1/3 cup milk per portion. Add honey to taste.
