Cinnamon Nut Cake Recipe

Ingredients
1/3 cup soft butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup Gold Medal Flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup milk
2/3 cup broken nuts
Directions
Heat oven to 350° (mod.).
Grease and flour a square pan, 8x8x2".
Mix butter, sugar, and eggs in mixing bowl.
Beat 5 min., high speed on mixer or by hand.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Add alternately in three additions with milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
Beat on low speed just until smooth; fold in nuts.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 35 to 40 min.
Frost half of cake with Browned Butter Icing freeze remaining half for later use.
