Ingredients

 
2 egg whites
 
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 
1/2 cup sugar

Directions

Beat egg whites (at room temperature), vinegar, salt, and cinnamon at high speed of an electric mixer 1 minute.
Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form.
Spoon meringue onto unglazed brown paper.
Use a spoon to shape meringue into a circle about 8 inches in diameter, swirling sides to about 1 3/4 inches high.
Bake at 275° for 1 hour.
Turn off oven, and allow meringue to cool in oven 2 hours.
