Cinnamon Apple Rings Recipe
Ingredients
| Apples | 2 Medium | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon sticks | 2 3 inch | |
| 1 cup granulated sugar red currant jelly | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Peel and core apples. Cut the apples into 4 rings.
MAKING
2) In a saucepan, add water and cinnamon sticks. Bring it to a boil.
3) Gradually add the apple rings 4 at a time and simmer to tender but not mushy.
4) Carefully lift out the rings.
5) Repeat the process with rest of the slices.
6) Add sugar to the remaining liquid in pan.
7) Boil the liquid for 3 minutes without putting any cover.
8) Place the apples back to saucepan, bring to boil, then ladle into container.
9) Place aside to cool down.
SERVING
10) Serve the apple rings by keeping a spoonful of red currant jelly in the centre.
