Cinnamon Apple Butter Recipe
Ingredients
6 pounds apples, quartered
2 cups apple cider
5 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 package (6 ounces) strawberry-flavored gelatin
Directions
In a large saucepan, cook apples in cider until tender.
Press through a sieve or food mill; measure 10 cups apple pulp.
Return to pan; add sugar, vinegar and cinnamon.
Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in gelatin.
Pour hot butter into hot jars, leaving 1/4-in.headspace.
Adjust caps.
Process for 10 minutes in a boiling-water bath.
