Cider Salad Mould Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 cups apple cider or apple juice | ||
| Cinnamon stick | 4 Inch | |
| Whole Cloves | 4 | |
| 1 6-ounce package lemon-flavored gelatin | ||
| 1 medium orange, peeled and sectioned | ||
| Apple | 1 Medium, diced | |
| Lettuce | ||
| Mayonnaise or salad dressing | ||
Directions
In large saucepan combine cider, cinnamon, and cloves.
Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes; strain.
Dissolve gelatin in hot cider.
Pour 1 cup of the cider mixture into 5 1/2-cup ring mold.
Chill till partially set (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).
Keep remaining gelatin at room temperature.
Arrange orange sections over first layer of gelatin in mold; chill till almost firm.
Meanwhile, chill remaining gelatin mixture till partially set; fold in apple.
Carefully pour gelatin with apple over orange layer.
Chill for several hours or overnight or till firm.
Unmold onto lettuce-lined plate.
