Cider Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Cake flour | 3 Cup(16 tbs), sifted | |
| Shortening | 3/4 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| 1 Teaspoon | ||
| Brown sugar | 1 1/3 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 3 | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cider | 1 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon |
Directions
Cream shortening and sugar; add beaten eggs.
Mix cider and lemon juice; add alternately with dry ingredients.
Bake in three greased 8" layer cake pans at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Cool.
Fill and frost with cider filling and icing.
