Cider Apples For Pork Recipe
Ingredients
| Apples | 2 Pound | |
| Powdered cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Seedless raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups cider or apple juice | ||
Directions
1. Wash the apples, remove the cores and slice, but do not peel.
2. Arrange a layer of apple slices in an enamel or glass saucepan; mix the cinnamon and salt and sprinkle some of it over the apples, add a layer of raisins and repeat until all ingredients are used.
3. Pour the cider over the fruit, and cook at a simmer until the apples are tender and a deep rich brown in color. The cooking time should be about 1 hour.
