Ingredients
| 1 package Golden Sugar Cookie Mix | ||
| Eggs | 2 | |
| 1/3 cup Oil or Puritan Oil | ||
| Green food coloring | ||
| 1/2 cup sliced natural almonds | ||
| Pecan halves, cut in half | ||
| Red candied cherries, cut in fourths | ||
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, eggs, oil and 4 to 5 drops green food coloring in large bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended. Form dough into pea-size balls. Place 15 balls with sides touching in triangle shape on ungreased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough, placing cookies 2 inches apart.
2. Insert almond slices between balls to form branches. Place 1 pecan piece in bottom of each tree to form trunk. Place 1 cherry piece on top ball of each tree.
3. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until cookies are set. Cool 1 minute on baking sheets. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.
