 Dates1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

 Sugar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg yolks4 , beaten
 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
 Vanilla1 Tablespoon
 Nuts1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

Directions

1) Heat 1 quart milk in double boiler, add one cup chopped dates, one cup raisins, and 1/2 cup currants. Scald milk and dried fruit mixture.
2) Dissolve 2 packages of Knox gelatin in- one cup of cool water, let stand until milk is taken from stove.
3) In a separate bowl mix 4 tablespoons cocoa with 2 cups sugar. Add 4 beaten egg yolks and enough milk to give mixture pouring consistency. Stir batter into hot milk.
4) Cook several minutes, remove from stove and stir in dissolved gelatin. Cool until mixture starts to set, then add 1 cup whipped cream, 4 egg whites beaten stiff, 1 tablespoon vanilla and 1 cup chopped nuts.
