Christmas Plum Coffee Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Granulated Sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 13 3/4-ounce package hot roll mix | ||
| 2 slightly beaten eggs | ||
| 1 8 3/4-ounce can purple plums, drained and chopped | ||
| Packed brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Almonds | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Ground cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Heat together granulated sugar, butter, and milk.
Cool.
Add yeast from roll mix; stir to dissolve.
Add eggs and roll mix; stir till smooth.
Knead 3 to 5 minutes; place in greased bowl.
Cover; let rise till double.
Punch down; let rest 10 minutes.
Divide in half.
Roll each half to 12x8 inches.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Spread half on each rectangle.
Roll long sides to center.
Place on greased baking sheets.
Cut to, but not through, center at 1 1/2-irich intervals on each side.
Twist cut edges up.
Let rise till double.
Bake in 375° oven 30 minutes.
Cover with foil last 15 minutes.
