Christmas Easter Dough Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup instant milk
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup boiling water
1/4 cup warm water
2 pkg. active dry yeast or 2 cakes yeast
2 eggs, beaten
5 cup flour
Directions
Place sugar, non fat dry milk powder, margarine, and salt in a large bowl.
Add the boiling water, stir until dissolved.
Cool to lukewarm.
Put 1/2 cup warm water in a bowl, sprinkle with yeast.
Stir until dissolved.
Add to lukewarm mixture.
Stir in eggs.
Add flour (1/2) beat until smooth.
Stir in remaining flour.
Turn dough out on floured board.
Knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).
Place in greased bowl until the dough is double in size.
This dough can be formed into all kinds of shapes for use during the holidays.
Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes depending upon the size being baked.
