|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|

Add enough milk to the egg to make 3/4 cup liquid.
Add all at once to the flour mixture and stir just until the flour is moistened.
Turn out onto a lightly floured pastry cloth and knead gently for about 30 seconds.
Roll to 9 x 12-inch rectangle and spread with the softened butter.
Combine remaining ingredients except icing and sprinkle over dough to about 1 inch from edges.
Roll as for jelly roll and place, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet to form a ring.
Cut through ring with scissors almost to center at intervals and turn each slice slightly to side.
Bake in 425-degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned.
Frost with confectioners' sugar icing while warm.
