Ingredients
3 lbs. flank steak, halfway defrosted
2 T. cornstarch in 3 T. water
1 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. Maggi seasoning (opt.)
3 T. gin
4 Ig. yellow onions
Soybean oil
2 T. sugar
3 T. oyster sauce
Directions
Thinly slice flank steak, then cut the slices into very thin strips.
Stir cornstarch and add to beef strips.
Add soy, Maggi and gin to beef.
Let marinate for at least one hour.
Slice onions, keeping slices fairly wide so they don't get mushy.
Heat oil in wok or frying pan on high.
Add beef and stir until cooked, 3-5 minutes.
Remove beef.
Add onions to pan and sprinkle with sugar.
Once onions have softened a bit, add beef and oyster sauce, stirring for about 5 minutes.
If it's too salty, add more sugar or oyster sauce.
