Ingredients

 
8 qt. green tomatoes
 
Salt
 
2 qt.green and red sweet peppers
 
2 qt.onions
 
2 Ige.cabbages
 
4 tbsp.white mustard seed
 
2 tbsp allspice
 
2 tbsp.celery seed
 
2 tbsp.ground cloves
 
1 sm.box yellow mustard
 
1 lb. brown sugar
 
3 to 4 c.sugar
 
1 can pimento chopped
 
1 sm. hot pepper chopped
 
1/2 gal.vinegar

Directions

Cut tomatoes into halves; sprinkle with salt.
Place tomatoes in layers; let stand overnight.
Drain.
Grind tomatoes, peppers, onions and cabbages; mix with remaining ingredients.
Cook for 4 hours.
Seal in sterilized jars.
