Chow'Mein Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups'raw chicken breasts, thinly sliced or julienne
2 tablespoons oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 cup finely diced celery
1 cup sliced water chestnuts
1 5 ounce can bamboo shoots (1 cup)
1 10 ounce package snow pea pods
2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
1 teaspoon salt
Slivered almonds for garnish
Directions
In a large skillet saute chicken in oil just 3 minutes, stirring.
Add onion and celery; cook uncovered 5 minutes more.
Add water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, pea pods, broth, and soy sauce.
Cover; cook for 5 minutes.Blend sugar, cornstarch, and cold water.
Pour over chicken; stir until slightly thickened.
Add salt.
Serve, garnished with nuts if desired.
