Choucroute Garnie Recipe
Here I am posting a special Choucroute Garnie recipe for you. This dish is equally liked by my friends as well, and whenever we meet on weekends we surely try this dish. It really tastes good. If you too want to enjoy the weekend, you can try out this Choucroute Garnie recipe.

Ingredients
1 lbs. sauerkraut
2 med. onions, chopped
1 tbsp. bacon
1 tart med. apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
3 peppercorns
5 juniper berries
1 c. white wine
6 link sausages
3 slices cooked ham, 1/4 inch thick
3 smoked pork chops or slices
3 frankfurters
Directions
Stage1-Soak sauerkraut in cold water for 10 minutes. Squeeze dry between hands.
Stage2-Meanwhile, saute onions in fat until tender. Add sauerkraut and toss with a fork. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stage3-Add apples, peppercorns, and juniper berries. Pour in white wine. Cook slowly, covered, for 50 minutes.
Stage4-Meanwhile, fry sausages. Drain off fat and put sausages on absorbent paper. Add with meats to sauerkraut.
Stage5-Cook, covered, for 25 minutes longer. Discard peppercorns and juniper berries.
Stage6-To serve, spoon out meats onto plate. Pile sauerkraut in center of large warm platter. Arrange meats and sausages over the top. This can be prepared beforehand and reheated. Serve with boiled potatoes and mustard.
