Chopped Liver Recipe
Ingredients
| Chicken livers | 1 pound | |
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| Onions | 2 Medium, sliced | |
| 1/3 cup canned no-salt-added chicken broth, undiluted | ||
| Powdered package | 1 | |
| 2 hard-cooked eggs | ||
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Place chicken livers on rack of a broiler pan that has been coated with cooking spray.
Broil 4 to 6 inches from heating element 5 minutes on each side or until done.
Set aside.
Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray,- place over medium heat until hot.
Add sliced onion, and saute until render.
Increase heat to mediumhigh, and cook until onion begins to brown.
Set aside.
Place chicken broth in a small saucepan,- cook over medium heat until Thoroughly heated.
Stir in powdered butter flavor.
Remove from heat.
Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add chicken livers, onion, eggs, and next 4 ingredients.
Top with cover, and process until coarsely chopped.
With processor running, pour chicken broth mixture Through food chute in a slow, steady stream until mixture is combined.
Transfer mixture to a small bowl.
Cover and chill thoroughly.
